What type of foundation or support is required for your children’s mattress?
We recommend using the Sleep Number Platform Foundation to support the mattress. However, our kids mattress is compatible with most solid surface or slatted platform beds, bunk beds, foundations, box springs, daybeds, and trundles. Our mattress can also be placed on the floor during the transition from crib to big kid bed.
Is there a weight limit on the bed and can it support parents and a child if needed?
It may be a mattress designed for kids, but there’s no weight limit on our kids’ mattresses – and we encourage parents to snuggle in bed with their little ones!
What is the children’s mattress made out of?
The Sleep Number Mattress is made from a unique blend of 3 types of foam: the Comfort Layer has temperature-regulating memory foam technology, the Support Layer is made with responsive memory foam to help support lighter-weight bodies, and the Base Layer strengthens the layers above for durability, comfort, and resilience.wer here.

How do you ensure your mattress is Fire Retardant-compliant without chemicals?
Instead of using toxic chemicals, the foam in our kids mattress is wrapped in a specially-made tubular knitted fabric (often referred to as an FR sock) that is inherently flame retardant. Additionally, our fire barrier has been tested and certified by UL GreenGuard Gold ®, which tests for harmful substances in textiles. Essentially, we rely on the properties of the materials themselves, instead of harmful chemicals, to achieve fire retardancy. Because chemicals have no place in a child’s bed!
Are your children’s mattress products hypoallergenic?
Yes, all of our products and children’s mattresses are hypoallergenic.
Does the kids mattress protector keep allergens out?
Yes! Our mattress protector is not only waterproof, it’s designed to act as a barrier to dust, dust mites, pollen, and other allergens. This means your child won’t have to worry about allergies as they sleep through the night on our organic kids mattress.
Do you use organic materials?
We’re glad you asked! Our mattress protectors are made with organic materials – in other words, all the parts of our kids mattress and bedding bundle that your child comes into contact with – are all made using organic cotton. Not only that, your mattress and components arrive in environmentally friendly packaging.
